This is a full day excursion through Malindi. All in less than 10 hours. Begin your adventure with a guided tour of the mysterious Gedi Ruins, an ancient 12th-century Swahili town hidden within lush forest. Continue to Mida Creek for a nature walk along the boardwalk, with opportunities for bird watching or canoeing through the mangroves. In Malindi, visit the iconic Vasco da Gama Pillar and discover the town’s rich history, before enjoying an up-close encounter with raptors at the Falconry of Kenya. End the day at Mambrui Village and Golden Beach, where golden sand dunes meet the ocean.
On this day; you will Set sail on a traditional dhow or motorboat into the protected waters of Watamu Marine National Park, renowned for its crystal-clear lagoons and vibrant coral reefs. Enjoy a guided snorkeling adventure where you’ll spot tropical fish, turtles, and other fascinating marine life- perfect for both beginners and experienced snorkelers. Pause on a pristine sandbank for swimming, beach walks, and breathtaking photo opportunities before indulging in a freshly prepared seafood BBQ lunch, complete with tropical fruits and refreshing drinks. The day ends with a leisurely cruise back along the coastline, soaking in the ocean breeze and scenic views. You’ll thereafter be driven back to your hotel, or dropped off at Moi International Airport or the SGR Terminus, depending on your travel plans.
