Today you descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries. The crater floor offers some of the best game viewing in East Africa, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, and a chance to spot the endangered black rhino. After a half-day game drive and a picnic lunch by a hippo-filled lake, ascend the crater and begin your return journey to Arusha, where your safari concludes in the late afternoon.
