Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Entebbe’s attractions, such as the Botanical Gardens or local craft markets, or simply relax at your hotel as you prepare for your safari.

After breakfast, depart Entebbe and drive westwards through Uganda’s scenic countryside, passing rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural towns. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon and check in at your lodge. Later, set out for your first game drive on the Kasenyi Plains where you will search for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and lions. After the drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of the park’s most famous attractions. This waterway teems with hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife, while elephants and buffaloes often gather at the water’s edge. After the boat cruise, return to your lodge to relax.

After breakfast, head to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking. Accompanied by an experienced ranger, trek through the forest to observe the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Along the way, you may encounter other primates and forest birds.

In the afternoon, visit Katwe Salt Lake, where locals have been mining salt for generations. Take a guided walk around the salt pans and learn about the unique traditional salt extraction process. After your visit, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Check out early and drive south to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Go on a game drive in search of these elusive lions and other wildlife such as elephants, topis, and buffaloes. After the game drive, begin your return journey to Kampala, with a stop for lunch en route. Arrive in the late afternoon, concluding your safari.
