4-Days Tour Safari to Tsavo National Park from Kampala by Road
Trip Overview
This itinerary outlines a 4-day road safari from Kampala, Uganda to Tsavo National Park in Kenya with a planned stopover in Bungoma for lunch and an overnight stay in Nairobi before continuing to the park.
Early morning departure from Kampala and travel towards the Uganda–Kenya border through Busia or Malaba. After border clearance, continue the journey into Kenya. Arrival in Bungoma at 1:00 PM for lunch and a short rest.
After lunch, continue the journey towards Nairobi enjoying scenic countryside views along the way. Arrival in Nairobi in the evening. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay in Nairobi.
Breakfast at the hotel at 8:00 AM. After breakfast, prepare for departure.
Embark on the journey at 9:00 AM from Nairobi heading towards Tsavo National Park. The drive passes through beautiful Kenyan landscapes and savannah plains.
Arrival at Tsavo National Park at approximately 1:30 PM. Check in at the lodge and have lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the park in search of wildlife including elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and various bird species.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Early breakfast at the lodge followed by a morning game drive to explore more areas of the park. Tsavo National Park is famous for its red elephants, diverse wildlife and beautiful savannah landscapes.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, proceed for another game drive and optional visit to scenic attractions such as Mzima Springs where hippos and crocodiles can be seen in crystal clear water.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Breakfast at the lodge and check out.
Begin the return journey leaving Tsavo National Park and travel back through Nairobi and western Kenya towards the Uganda border.
After border clearance, continue the journey back to Kampala with arrival expected in the evening.
