A great way to start and end in Nairobi is with this full-day excursion. On the outskirts of Nairobi, at the Nairobi National Park which is only 7km in the south of Nairobi city and this park seats on 117km/squared, Species found in the park include lion, leopard, African buffalo, black rhinoceros, giraffe, hippopotamus, spotted hyena, blue wildebeest, plains zebra, cheetah, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, common eland, impala, hartebeest, waterbuck, common warthog, olive baboon, black-backed jackal, common ostrich and Nile crocodile and normally zebra and wildebeests migrate to this park during the dry seasons through the southern gate and this park is a home to about 500 bird species inclusive of the migratory and the endemic birds.
You will visit David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage this place was established in 1977 to offer rescue services and mothering disadvantaged elephants and other wildlife species from poachers. Lunch at a neighborhood eatery followed by a trip to the Karen Blixen Museum. Come see the endangered Rothschild giraffe up close at the Giraffe Center. On your day tour you will also have a drive around Nairobi city where you will observe and appreciate the livelihood of city dwellers in Africa.
